Dentsu Aegis Network acquires Indonesian digital performance firm Valuklik

Dentsu Aegis Network has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Valuklik, a digital performance marketing company in Indonesia, to be merged with iProspect in the country. Post-acquisition, Valuklik will be rebranded as iProspect Valuklik, adding significant scale to the network’s capabilities and to be established as the market leader in performance in the high growth market.

Established in 2012, Valuklik focuses on delivering data driven performance marketing solution, large scale enterprise level SEO, digital transformation and data and analytics. The agency delivers digital marketing services across all digital media channels – search, social media, programmatic media and performance content. Valuklik’s subsidiary – Pinnacle, a specialised unit for analytics and one of the largest Google Analytics Sales & Solutions partner in Indonesia, will also be joining iProspect and be rebranded as iProspect Pinnacle.

Based in Jakarta, Valuklik has over 55 professionals, and is one of the largest performance marketing companies in Indonesia with clients across sectors such as travel, telecom, media, e-commerce, insurance and FMCG.

Following the acquisition, founder of Valuklik, Cleosent Randing, as chairman and Rahul Nambiar as CEO of iProspect Valuklik, will oversee the growth and operations of merged business. Both of them will report to SK Biswas, CEO Dentsu Aegis Network Indonesia, and join the leadership team of Dentsu Aegis Network Indonesia. The other shareholders, East Ventures and John Marco Rasjid exited the investment and divested their shares in Valuklik.

Dick van Motman, CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network Southeast Asia, said: “Indonesia being the fourth most populous country in the world and the number one powerhouse economy of Southeast Asia, remains a priority for us going forward. With excellent medium and long term growth prospects – particularly in digital advertising, we continue our journey there to be sufficiently scaled and substantially differentiated in this market.”

“Valuklik brings with it strong capabilities in performance marketing and search, as well as the needed scale that is paramount to accelerating our business. The acquisition of Valuklik ticks all these boxes and is a natural progression after the acquisition of Dwi Sapta, furthering our digital performance offering and management bench through the talented team there,” he added.

“The acquisition of Valuklik will enable iProspect to deliver truly transformative business outcomes for brands in one of the most disruptive markets in Southeast Asia. This acquisition is critical in cementing our position in Indonesia and we have found the optimal partner in Cleo, Rahul and their team,” added Joanna Catalano, CEO of iProspect Asia Pacific.
