Dentsu Asia has appointed former president and CEO of DDB Group, Greater China, Dick van Motman as its CEO.
Van Motman stepped down from his role at DDB Group after nine years earlier in August this year.
In his new role, he will be responsible for Dentsu Network operations in the ASEAN and Oceania region, reporting to Dentsu Network president and CEO, Tim Andree. He will also be a member of the global operating committee.
Van Motman will be based at Dentsu's regional headquarters in Singapore.
"This is a great time to be joining Dentsu. The agency is committed to become more global, as evidenced by the Aegis acquisition and other moves they've made around the world, and I am eager to help Dentsu realize Ishii-san's vision for the company," van Motman said.
Andree said: "He is a consummate professional with an excellent track record and a deep knowledge of Asia. Dick's experience managing pan-regional operations and accounts will be invaluable as Dentsu continues to grow with both Japanese and Western multinationals, as well as local clients."
