Frankie Fung returns to DDB HK as executive creative director

DDB Group Hong Kong has brought back a former team member with the appointment of Frankie Fung as its executive creative director.In addition to other local clients, Fung will lead the development of integrated creative on McDonald's, one of the company's major accounts. He will also help shape the company's overall direction, reporting directly to Andreas Krasser, DDB Group Hong Kong CEO."I couldn't be more thrilled to have Frankie back - he and I used to work together on projects I'm still immensely proud of. He's coming back on board with the same openness and collaborative spirit, but also with a new creative world view that is much more integrated than before," commented Krasser.Possessing around 20 years of experience in Hong Kong and China (and worked on projects for McDonald’s, Manulife, Volkswagen, Philips, and HSBC) Fung comes back to an agency he spent about four years at in creative director roles between 2011 to 2015. Prior to this latest appointment, Fung served as a creative director at several prominent agencies, including Saatchi & Saatchi Guangzhou and Leo Burnett Hong Kong.Speaking of his return, Fung said: "I’m very happy to be back. DDB not only has great clients with great creative potential, but I can also feel that the agency overall is moving in an exciting new direction."
