DDB Group Singapore has hired one of the most well known content creators in the social media scene in Singapore, Benjamin Lee (pictured), otherwise known as Mr Miyagi as creative director of social media.
This is a newly-created role within Tribal Worldwide. He will be tasked to create social content and will be serving Tribal's key clients such as Unilever, McDonald’s, DBS, Starhub, Silkair, Ministry of Communications and Information, and Ministry of National Development, to name a few.
A prolific writer and media-neutral content creator, Lee has written and co-written original local content and theater productions. In the last 15 years, he has helped pen over 150 plays such as Kumar: Stands Up For Singapore, Happy Ever Laughter and Great World Cabaret: Let’s Bobo Cha Cha. Lee also hosts a regular radio show on Power98 FM’s Own time, own target.
“Tribal has a big support team and I’ve worked with them previously on ad hoc works. I like that it is very local, very real and also a bit crazy in pushing social media content that really works. This is a dream playground for a creative like me to do great work,” said Benjamin Lee, creative director of social media at Tribal Worldwide Singapore.
On his current work as a public personality and writer, Lee added, “I will keep working with brand organisations that I know and love, and continue to lend my voice to the things they do.”
Jeff Cheong, president of Tribal Worldwide Asia said, “I’ve known and worked with Lee for seven years and we’re excited he has finally decided to join our team. Lee is like a founding father of social media in Singapore, his experiences and proven-track record will push the group to create more engaging and original content.”
