DDB China nabs ex-BBDO director

DDB Guoan – the arm of DDB China that takes care of advertising, CRM, digital and interactive pushes, direct and event marketing, graphic design, as well as market research and sales promotion – appointed Andreas von Loeper as VP and business director for its biggest client, the Volkswagen Group Import Company Business.Prior to the move, von Loeper worked for BBDO Germany as client services director; he then took on the role of regional business director for Mercedes-Benz in BBDO/Proximity Beijing in March 2012.Von Loeper will report to Richard Tan, president and CEO of DDB Group North China.“Andreas’ pedigree and thorough-bred auto experience in the global and China markets is a rare find and we look forward to his leadership on Volkswagen Group Import Cars,” said Tan.“I believe he will help to continue to cement our strong partnership with clients, bringing with him the best practices to unleash creativity for brand businesses across multiple channels and disciplines.”
