Danone picks Ydigital Asia for digital duties for 2 brands in Indonesia

Danone has appointed Ydigital Asia as its digital agency for two if its water brands, AQUA and VIT. The appointment follows a pitch in late 2018, which saw six other agencies in the running. In a statement to Marketing Interactive, Aqua's marketing manager Jeffri Ricardo said that Ydigital was chosen amongst other competing agencies for its "more business-driven digital approach". He added, "We are surprised how fast they gained knowledge about our business and brands during the pitch and we trust that they have the digital skills to make the plans happen too." The appointment is for 12 months. Under the partnership, Ydigital Asia will be in charge of  content strategy and creation as well as social media management and web development in Indonesia. It will act as a hub for creating strong synergies between the agencies that Danone works with in digital. “AQUA is a local hero. Its rich history with Indonesia makes this win extra special for us. Few, if any, brands have had the same impact and we are thrilled that the team believes in Ydigital to tell the AQUA and VIT stories across digital platforms,” said Ydigital Indonesia CEO Fredrik Johansson and CCO Peter Haarmark in a joint statement. Last December, Ydigital Asia brought on three new board members to guide the strategic direction of its regional expansion plans. The digital growth agency currently has three offices in Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, with plans to expand further in the region under way.
