Crypto.com names new CMO

Cryptocurrency company Crypto.com has appointed Steven Kalifowitz as its chief marketing officer.

Bringing more than 20 years of experience managing world class brands, Kalifowitz has a proven track record of building teams that deliver transformative brand experiences.

He was most recently president of online real estate marketplace Localize.city, which at the time was only a seed-stage startup in 2017 but currently one of the leading names in the real estate industry with a global team of more than 170 people. He also served multiple clients in previous positions at Twitter and G/RA, such as Mastercard, Emirates, ANZ Bank, Samsung, and Johnson & Johnson.

“Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with leading brands around the world. I’m excited to join the team and leverage my experience to tell the Crypto.com story. Together, we will play a pivotal role in accelerating the world’s transition to cryptocurrency," said Kalifowitz.

Kalifowitz joins the company at a time of rapid growth. In the past six months, it has doubled its team from 250 employees six months ago to more than 500 now and amassed three million users. The company said Kalifowitz's experience will catalyse the next era of Crypto.com’s growth and further its mission "to put cryptocurrency in every wallet".
