Coway, Hyundai, Pavilion and Trip.com appoint new PR agency in Malaysia

A slate of major brands including Coway Malaysia, Hyundai Motor Malaysia, Pavilion Group and Trip.com have appointed VoxEureka as their public relations agency, as the firm reports a strong run of new business wins in the first quarter of 2026.

The appointments span multiple sectors including automotive, retail and property, and travel, signalling growing demand for integrated communications strategies across Malaysia and the wider region. The wins follow a competitive pitching period, with VoxEureka positioning itself around strategic storytelling and multi-market capabilities.

In the automotive space, the agency has been tasked with supporting Hyundai Motor Malaysia’s communications strategy, working alongside INNOCEAN Malaysia. Its remit includes developing campaign-led communications around key model launches and corporate milestones, aimed at strengthening the brand’s positioning across both automotive and lifestyle segments.

Meanwhile, Trip.com has brought VoxEureka on board to deepen media engagement and build brand trust, as competition intensifies within Malaysia’s online travel sector. The agency will focus on strengthening the platform’s brand presence and reinforcing its position among local consumers.

Within retail and property, Pavilion Group has also tapped the agency to drive communications across its portfolio, which includes Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Pavilion Damansara Heights, Pavilion Bukit Jalil and Intermark Mall. The agency will integrate corporate messaging with retail storytelling to boost footfall and brand affinity, adding to its existing work with property players such as UEM Sunrise and Sunway.

Coway, on the other hand, has appointed VoxEureka to lead creative and activation conceptualisation, alongside creator engagement, for an upcoming innovation-led campaign centred on accessible healthy living. The mandate reflects a growing emphasis on lifestyle positioning within the home and wellness category.

Beyond Malaysia, the agency has also marked its first-year anniversary in Singapore with the appointment of a Singapore-based client, Tools For Humanity. The tech company is focused on building a global “proof-of-personhood” network to distinguish humans from AI agents online, underscoring the agency’s push into technology and emerging digital narratives.

Alongside new wins, VoxEureka has also retained several key clients. TikTok has renewed its mandate for a fifth consecutive year in Malaysia following a six-agency pitch, while Sunway Group has also extended its partnership for a fifth year. These renewals follow an earlier extension from BMW Group Malaysia, signalling continued confidence in the agency’s capabilities.

According to Jonathan Tan, managing director of VoxEureka, the momentum comes after a softer 2025, with the agency doubling down on high-growth sectors and integrated communications models that combine regional scale with local market insights.

"This intense pitching season was a true test of our mettle, and to come through with this calibre of new clients is a tremendous validation," said Tan.

"Each win and renewal reflects our penchant for strategic, creative reputational storytelling. The growing regional portfolio also highlights client preferences for multi-market hive models that synergise skill sets and hyperlocal knowledge instead of the traditional hub and spoke model. We're grateful for our clients' trust and are energised for the work ahead," he added.

Earlier this week, Funding Societies Malaysia and LAC Malaysia, have both appointed W Communications Malaysia as their new PR agency, to provide integrated communications support ranging from strategic counsel and creative launch work to thought leadership, influencer and KOL (key opinion leader) engagement across both B2B and B2C briefs.

In other recent PR appointments, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has renewed its PR partnership with Perspective Strategies following a pitch, extending the agency’s remit for another two years. Meanwhile, PUMA Group Malaysia has appointed Mad Hat Asia as its PR retainer agency, following a competitive pitch that concluded in January 2026, with a total of two rounds.

Additionally, Malaysian ice cream brand Inside Scoop has appointed GO Communications to lead public relations and communications for its latest campaign, “Rasa-rasa Malaysia” ('Taste Malaysia').
