Compass Visa supports Earth Hour

Compass Visa puts in its effort for Earth Hour – a global environmental move that will take place on 23 March at 8:30 p.m. this year where the city turns off its lights for an hour.With more than 61,000 Facebook fans on Compass Visa's page, the credit card company aims to encourage its community to support the green event by spreading the page’s dedicated “Earth Hour” wall posts to their friends.For each fan’s Facebook like, share or comment, Compass Visa will donate HK$1 to World Wildlife Fund (WWF). During this time, educational posts and tips on energy saving will be posted on the page.To expand on the campaign, Compass Visa has dedicated a tab page with a countdown clock to remind its supporters of Earth Hour. More interestingly, the lights on the cover photo will dim until pitch-black when 23 March hits.“This is a very meaningful project, the Earth Hour, to wake up everyone in the globe villa, we first did this last year and found our Fans are very supportive and thus this year we want to collaborate with our fans to contribute our part and help spread the message across.” said Bernard Chan, senior vice president of Compass Visa.
