Professional services and investment management company Colliers has appointed Andrew Lau as director of ESG Advisory for Asia. In this position, Lau provides expert guidance for occupiers, landlords, investors and developers on ESG, and how they can adopt net zero and holistic environmental solutions into their portfolios and operations.

As a chartered engineer, Lau brings a wealth of environmental, social and governance (ESG) expertise from his previous assignments such as offering advice to a diverse range of clients such as HSBC, Hang Seng Bank, Facebook, Dell and Cyberport to map out sustainable solutions to their business objectives including Net Zero Emissions pathways.

CK Lau, Colliers’s managing director said, “ESG is the blueprint for doing what’s right for our clients and our people, which is why we developed our 'Elevate the Built Environment' strategy. The tactical addition of Lau to the team is vital as we aim to expand our service offering in ESG advisory to meet the growing needs of our clients as they continue to position sustainability at the heart of everything they do. I am confident that he will drive the success of the business and activate further our strategy.”

Hannah Jeong, the company’s head of valuation and advisory services said, “I am thrilled to have him join our team in an ESG advisory role. This is an area we have seen growth in recent years, and we have enhanced our capability to accelerate the success of our clients and our people by providing a more holistic solution. With his extensive experience in environmental sustainability and a strong background in engineering, I believe he will drive an impactful, and positive change throughout the business.”
