Coffeelin and Cult Kits stir up football frenzy with exclusive pop-up

Hong Kong’s purveyor of Italian café culture Coffeelin is joining forces with Cult Kits, the UK based sellers of rare and collectible football shirts, to launch an exclusive five-day pop-up event ahead of this summer’s UEFA European Football Championship.

The pop-up event, taking place from 19 June until 23 June 2024, aims to target fans of football, fashion and coffee alike with hundreds of vintage and retro football kits and exclusive merchandise available to purchase at Coffeelin’s flagship branch in Fortress Hill.

Founded in the UK by three friends with a passion for football fan culture and jerseys from across the globe, Cult Kits is a champion of all forms of culture that exists in and around the beautiful game.

The partnership comes as Cult Kits aligns perfectly with Coffeelin, and shares the coffee brand’s passion for the finer details and heritage of the product, according to Coffeelin founder Lucas Sam. “As one of the most authentic Italian caffe bars in Hong Kong, Coffeelin would like to offer different experiences to our local customers.”

“With all the sporting events happening this summer, we wish to celebrate the excitement together with football fans here in Hong Kong,” he added.

Alongside a wide selection of classic and vintage football shirts, visitors will also be able to purchase exclusive merchandise, apparel and of course, sample Coffeelin’s Italian-style espresso and cocktails – all whilst shopping in a vintage football-themed dedicated paradise.

Sam added: “Extending genuine Italian hospitality, we believe our flagship Coffeelin Fortress Hill’s convivial atmosphere is the perfect setting for such a unique collaboration with Cult Kits. To have Rob and David here in Hong Kong sharing their knowledge in classic jerseys and passion for football, together with our Italian cocktails and coffee, it’s going to make for the perfect event.”

Cult Kits co-founder David Furzer-Jones said, “This is a very special opportunity for Cult Kits and something we’ve been trying to visualise for almost a year now.” He said, “It’s a chance for the football shirt-loving community of Hong Kong and in fact the world, to see what we as an emerging company in the online vintage retail space are all about. With Coffeelin as partners for this, we’re really going to be able to flex our creative brains and give Asian football fans an experience not yet seen in a pop-up.”

Back in April, the fourth location of Coffeelin has re-energised the up-and-coming neighbourhood with its new menu of bar snacks and signature cocktails to entice after-work crowd.

“We are very excited to be expanding our menu at Coffeelin Fortress Hill, specially prepared by our team to showcase beloved Italian flavours and introduce more exciting offerings to the neighbourhood. We look forward to welcoming guests to a new Coffeelin experience,” said founder Lucas Sam.
