美国有线电视新闻网国际商业新闻频道正扩大其在亚太地区的足迹，在中国开设办事处。新的北京分公司是CNNIC中国战略发展的重要组成部分，为新闻传播、内容销售、政府关系、以及广告销售的客户提供更好的服务。北京团队将由Cindy Zhan领导，加入美国有线电视新闻网前，她效力于英国广播公司。Zhan将与香港的同事紧密合作，并直接向大中华区执行董事Sally Young汇报。美国有线电视新闻网亚太区广告销售副总裁Sunita Rajan说：「开设北京办事处是CNN的一个重要里程碑，并强调中国市场的重要性。这只是前奏，我们将继续推动我们在中国的发展，致力争取本地和国际的营销和收入机遇。」继香港、新加坡、东京、新德里和孟买后，北京办事处标志着美国有线电视新闻网国际商业新闻频道在亚洲的第六办事处，将于今天正式开幕。
