New South Wales Tourism has launched a new digital portal to engage the growing number of Chinese tourists visiting the Australian state. The Sydney.cn website brings 150 travel experiences in Sydney and New South Wales (NSW) for Chinese travellers in Traditional and Simplified Chinese.Sydney.cn is also hosted in China to allow faster download speeds and is also mobile responsive. The site is also available in English.Troy Grant, NSW Deputy Premier and Minister for Tourism and Major Events, said China is the number one inbound visitor market for NSW.In the year ending September 2014, more than 443,000 Chinese visitors stayed 12.1 million nights in NSW and spent more than $1.5 billion during their stay."It makes sense to have a dedicated and easy to navigate website to ensure potential visitors from China can access the information they need to help plan their next holiday to Sydney and Regional NSW," Grant said.Visitors to the website will be able to create travel wish lists, view maps and itinerary suggestions, and learn about the state's key tourism experiences such as coastal adventures, food and wine, nature and wildlife, festivals and major events, farm stays, shopping, adventure and attractions.
