Jeremy Cheung, former MD of Impact Asia, has joined Weber Shandwick as vice president of its consumer practice in Hong Kong.
Cheung joins as the agency prepares to begin work on Samsung Electronics, which it won towards the end of 2010. His other major accounts will include Ocean Park.
He reports to Eugenia Chow, SVP and director of Weber’s consumer practice.
Cheung (pictured) brings 15 years of marketing and PR experience to the role, with a particular focus on the travel, hospitality, tourism and luxury sectors.
Albert Shu, managing director of Weber Shandwick Hong Kong, said Cheung will strengthen the agency’s capabilities in retail, travel, luxury and hospitality, which he described as key focus areas for the agency.
“He will be a great asset to our growth in these industries as well as our existing client portfolio,” he added.
