Cheil India bolsters digital team

Cheil, the South Korean marketing & communications giant, has made four new appointments.The agency has hired Sidhart Shukla, Mohd. Rehan Ali, Bani Kalra and Smita Khandelwal following the hire of Sanjeev Jasani (pictured) as head of digital.Sidhart Shukla joins the company as a part of the digital strategy division, taking on the role of deputy general manager. Joining Cheil from MRM, McCann Worldgroup where he worked as national head of digital strategy and planning, Shukla has also held roles in TimesJobs.com, MacMillan India, KSA Technopak, Tyroo Media and The Indian Express.Taking the role of media director within the agency's digital media team, Ali joins Cheil India with nine years of experience as an employee for various media agencies including Reprise Media, Solutions Digitas, Madison Media and Webchutney.Also set to join the agency within the digital media team is Kalra, who will assume the position of associate media director. Kalra specialises in digital marketing with over seven years experience as a part of Starcom Worldwide and FCB Ulka, having worked with brands such as HP, McDonalds, Danone, Monster and Aircel in the past.Khandelwal has been hired as deputy general manager of digital media. Previously residing in India and the USA working for companies such as Exponential Interactive, AIG and Solutec, Khandelwal will bring seven years of digital experience to her new role.Jaswani said "With these talented additions to our team, we are certain to achieve our ambition of becoming the foremost Digital Marketing agency in the country. We are excited to have them join our organisation and Cheil India can only get richer by their experience and knowledge."
