Marketing and communications agency CatchOn- A FINN Partners Company is rebranding to FINN Partners Greater China, with effect from 28 September 2023, as confirmed to MARKETING-INTERACTIVE.
CatchOn, with offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing, is specialised in brand development, marketing communications, market research, public relations and digital. CatchOn joined the global marketing and communications firm FINN Partners in 2019 and has been operating under the name of CatchOn – A FINN Partners Company.
The addition of CatchOn’s staff in Hong Kong and Shanghai aimed at strengthening FINN Partners capabilities in China and bring its total Asia staff strength to more than 70. It also helped grow its global travel and hospitality team to more than 100 professionals.
Now, as the agency expands its regional presence and celebrates its 25th year of establishment, it has decided to operate under the new name FINN Partners Greater China.
"We already called ourselves FINN Partners since 2019 so this isn’t necessarily a new name but a more distilled one, which capitalises on FINN Partners’ growing global network and the numerous awards and recognitions the group has received through the years," Cathy Feliciano-Chon, managing partner, FINN Partners Greater China told MARKETING-INTERACTIVE.
Feliciano-Chon added that there are no changes to the existing team and leadership, apart from its plans to continue to grow its capabilities in all three offices, including Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing.
MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has reached out to CatchOn for more information.
Back in February, the agency bagged the PR and communications mandate of Marriott International for APAC excluding China.
The portfolio managed by CatchOn comprises existing and soon-to-open properties under the Marriott International luxury brands across the region which include The Ritz-Carlton, Ritz-Carlton Reserve, St. Regis, W Hotels and JW Marriott.
While in 2021, CatchOn was named the agency of record for the Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC). HKDC is a non-governmental organisation that advocates for Hong Kong's position as a design leader in Asia.
CatchOn's duties included creating an "extensive PR and digital marketing strategy" for HKDC's annual flagship events. CatchOn also launched BODW+, an online portal for both Knowledge of Design Week and Business of Design Week that offers content and events for audiences interested in design.
