Carousell Group's advertising arm Carousell Media Group has made three new hires to help drive growth in the region. Saniya Gupta (pictured left) has been hired to lead the regional strategy team. Previously, she held positions at some of the leading advertising agencies in Singapore before joining Twitter, where she was responsible for driving the growth of Twitter’s Video Advertising Solutions. Gupta brings that experience to lead Carousell Media Group’s regional strategy team and she’s responsible for designing innovative and effective full-funnel marketing solutions for Carousell Media Group’s regional clients.

Kimberly Leng (pictured middle) will head the Singapore sales team. She joins Carousell Media Group with experiences from Mediacorp, JCDecaux and most recently as head of business development at influencer marketing platform GetCraft. As the head of sales, Singapore, Leng will be responsible for growing the Carousell Media Group’s ad sales business with key clients and agencies.

Meanwhile, Anthony Cheung (pictured right) will lead the sales initiatives in Hong Kong. He has extensive advertising and marketing experience in the Hong Kong market, having held senior positions at Hong Kong tourism board, on.cc and most recently at the leading instant messaging service Line Corp. As the head of sales, Hong Kong, he will be responsible for growing the Carousell Media Group’s ad sales business with key clients and agencies. All of them will report directly to JJ Eastwood, managing director of Carousell Media Group.

“It’s been a year since Carousell Media Group was established and we have seen incredible growth across all of our brands and platforms, I am excited to welcome them to the Carousell Media Group team as we continue to invest in the best regional talents that help shape the advertising industry," said Eastwood.

“As Carousell celebrates its decade of sustainability with great momentum and unprecedented growth, I do not doubt that they will propel us into the next level - 2022 will be an exciting year,” he added.

Carousell Media Group has recently launched Connect, a recommerce programmatic buying platform that deploys DSP ad technology, and is powered by the buying, selling and search data signals generated from the Carousell Media Group’s tens of millions of monthly users across Southeast Asia, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

The Connect platform gives advertisers a viable alternative to closed environments like Google and Facebook, by providing them with full-funnel marketing solutions and enabling them to engage with Carousell Media Group’s audiences on every ad format available across the open internet – video, display, audio and Connected TV.

Connect is also capable of integrating first-party and third-party data sets to deliver end-to-end campaigns with actionable and verifiable results. THe company added that its platforms get over 150 million average monthly searches. As part of 2022’s rollout under Connect, Carousell Media Group will be launching new ad products, such as Carousell Search Ads which will enable advertisers to fully leverage real-time keyword searches.
