Carlsberg Malaysia moves creative business from JWT

After slightly less than a year after appointing JWT for the markets of Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong, Carlsberg has called a pitch, moving the business away from the agency.

Sources have told Advertising + Marketing that the pitch has been settled, with the new agency being Leo Burnett for the Malaysia market.

The reasons behind the move are unclear and Carlsberg could not be reached for comment at the time of publishing.

A pitch was called earlier for the account, with several other agencies involved. A spokesperson for JWT Malaysia told A+M that it has declined to join the pitch, with the agency refusing further comment.

Sources have said that the account will include media buying duties. Leo Burnett Malaysia did not comment on the development.
