Business consultancy Capgemini is shifting its Asia Pacific headquarter to Singapore after moving key functions out of Hong Kong. A spokesperson of Capgemini confirmed that the consultancy will be running out of Marina Bay Financial District in downtown Singapore.

In a conversation with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, the spokesperson said that as an economic powerhouse with a reputation for innovation, highly skilled talent, and strong educational institutions, Capgemini's presence in Singapore brings it closer to the business and innovation community that will help drive sustainable change over the next decade.

In addition, Capgemini’s investments in design studios and applied innovation exchanges across APAC, including Singapore, also aim to provide an immersive and transformative environment, to help businesses and governments in the region deliver sustainable value, "Today, we house demonstrations around analytics, sustainability, 5G use cases, metaverse, decentralised finance, learning future among others. Thanks to the presence of a regional leadership team in Singapore, Capgemini will continue to build on these strong relationships and contribute to the local economy," the spokesperson added.

The spokesperson also said that operations in Hong Kong are not affected, "we continue to have an office in Hong Kong with strong local leadership working with clients in financial services, consumer goods and retail industries."

As a strategic partner to companies around the world, Capgemini has leveraged technology to enable business transformation for more than 50 years, addressing the entire breadth of business needs, from strategy and design to managing operations.

In September this year, Capgemini has acquired Singapore-based company Aodigy Asia Pacific, specialising in digital transformation on the Salesforce platform. With its customer experience consultants and developers, the deal further strengthens Capgemini’s ability to deliver end-to-end digital transformation at scale across the region.

“Companies and public sector departments are looking for ways to deliver exceptional personalised experiences while continuously reinventing their businesses and offerings,” said Olaf Pietchner, CEO of APAC at Capgemini and member of the group executive committee. “We are responding to this client demand by creating one of the region’s largest and most awarded customer experience teams specialising in the Salesforce ecosystem. I am delighted that Aodigy Asia Pacific is now part of this ambition and am looking forward to welcoming them to the team.”

Aodigy Asia Pacific currently offers a full suite of Salesforce ecosystem customer engagement solutions, including sales optimisation, customer interaction, cloud migration and business process automation, through its operations in Singapore and Vietnam.
