Canon’s Edwin Teoh replaces Oliver Chong as Singapore Advertiser’s Association president

The Singapore Advertiser’s Association (SAA) has appointed Edwin Teoh (pictured), assistant director at Canon Singapore, as its new president. He succeeds Oliver Chong, formerly VP of brand and marketing communications at StarHub, who helmed the position over the past year.Teoh, who has been with Canon Singapore for 18 years, heads the marketing division for the Singapore operations. He is also responsible for Canon’s B2C and B2B marketing strategies and campaigns. Working with SAA and its committee members, Teoh aims to be a "stronger collective voice" in the advertising landscape.“We aim to equip our members with knowledge so they are empowered with a deeper understanding to navigate effectively in the face of evolving trends and complexities to engage their target audience. At the same time, SAA plays an imperative role in continuously building a strong ecosystem with creative agencies and media owners to establish winning partnerships," he added."Building on the foundation laid by previous EXCOs, my team and I will aspire to make the association a more visible and vibrant cog in the industry,” Teoh said.Currently, the executive council's representatives are, Chow Phee Chat from Nestle Singapore and Jennifer See from F&N Foods, both helming the vice president role. Meanwhile, Benjamin Teh, who was previously president of SAA, helms the secretary position, and Tan Fong Kum from Aesthetic Bay is the treasurer.The other executive committee members include Dawn Lee from Health Promotion Board, Eric Teoh from Golf Tours Singapore and Joe Loy from Manulife.
