Can a shower head sell a staycation feeling? CUCKOO thinks so

CUCKOO Malaysia is turning a Kuala Lumpur boutique hotel into a pastel-themed wellness playground as it looks to encourage consumers to rethink self-care through everyday routines.
Running from 4 to 9 August, the brand has taken over The Très Hotel with its immersive "Pink oasis" activation, inviting consumers to experience its new limited-edition AquaPro X Pink oasis filtered shower head through a series of interactive installations designed around relaxation and wellbeing.
The campaign is anchored by a collaboration with Malaysian content creator and livestream affiliate Sonia, who has also been appointed a CUCKOO Friend. Building on the pair's previous collaborations, the partnership taps into Sonia's growing influence in the lifestyle space and her reputation for carefully vetting the products she recommends, aligning with CUCKOO's positioning around healthy living and everyday wellness.

To bring the campaign to life, CUCKOO has transformed The Très Hotel into an experiential space centred around the "Pink Oasis" concept. More than 100 creators and key opinion leaders (KOLs) have been invited to experience the activation, which features four interactive zones.
Visitors can take part in a 20-second creator pitch challenge, test the new shower head in a dedicated experience room, vote on potential future shower filter scents and capture photos at a themed photo booth. Guests who complete all four activities will also receive a complimentary curated beverage.

At the centre of the campaign is the limited-edition AquaPro X Pink oasis filtered shower head, which combines CUCKOO's water filtration technology with a pastel pink finish. The product features a triple filtration system, a high-pressure spray plate designed to reduce water usage by up to 40%, and a transparent window that allows users to monitor the condition of the filter.
The campaign also extends into social commerce through an interactive TikTok livestream hosted by Sonia and CUCKOO brand ambassador Phei Yong on 7 August. The livestream will feature product demonstrations, exclusive promotions and limited-edition gifts with purchase. Consumers can also purchase the shower head via CUCKOO's website and its official stores on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop.
“We didn't start this campaign by asking how to launch a product. Instead, we started by asking what self-care means to people today. That thinking led us to create 'Pink oasis', an immersive experience that reminds us that wellness doesn't always require grand gestures. Sometimes, the smallest moments, like enjoying a better shower at the end of the day, can make the biggest difference to our personal well-being," said Nick Chin, deputy general manager of CUCKOO Malaysia.
He added, "Our team hopes that this is more than just a shower head; it is CUCKOO’s gift to elevate everyday living through a ‘Triple-High’ experience - high performance, high aesthetics, and high experiential value. It allows urbanites living in a high-pressure environment to shed their fatigue, fully enjoy their shower me time, and find true healing as they journey alongside CUCKOO to be #SAMASAMAHealthier."
Earlier this year, CUCKOO International Malaysia expanded its partnership with South Korean actor and singer Lee Junho, appointing him as its global brand ambassador across Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, the United States and other parts of Asia.
The move forms part of the company's strategy to strengthen its positioning as a "Healthy home creator" across multiple markets, with Lee fronting campaigns promoting its wider wellness ecosystem, including water purifiers, air purifiers, rice cookers and dishwashers. In Malaysia, Lee joins existing brand ambassadors Siti Nurhaliza and Phei Yong under CUCKOO's #SAMASAMAHealthier platform.
