Bupa HK expands cross-border healthcare choices across GBA

Bupa Hong Kong has collaborated with healthcare providers in the Greater Bay Area (GBA) to expand services throughout southern China, streamlining care through guaranteed payments, eliminating upfront costs, and bypassing traditional claims hurdles.

This initiative responds to growing demand from Hong Kong residents for comprehensive and accessible medical care in mainland China, enabling Bupa to extend services across 10 cities and 69 locations throughout the GBA.

Through partnership with Fosun Health, Prosper Health, The GBA Healthcare Group, and Zhongshan Chen Xinghai Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, Bupa has selected several tier III class A hospitals, the highest accreditation under China’s health administration, from their networks. These include leading hospitals in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Foshan, ensuring policyholders receive care meeting stringent quality standards.

Bupa's Guarantee of Payment system enhances convenience, allowing customers to access inpatient and day procedure services without upfront payments or complex claims processes. The partnership further simplifies payments, removing the need for deposits or on-the-spot settlements upon discharge, ensuring uninterrupted treatment.

In addition to offering payment convenience, Bupa Hong Kong provides round-the-clock support through an experienced and professional case management team, ensuring a personalised and seamless healthcare journey.

“We need partners to build the future of quality, convenient and seamless healthcare for our customers. Collaboration with the top-tiered medical providers in the Greater Bay Area is more important than ever,” said Yuman Chan (pictured right), general manager of the Bupa Hong Kong. “

"This is about giving our customers more support and providing cross-border, accessible medical care options, whether they need critical healthcare or day procedures. Bupa makes it easy for customers to seamlessly navigate their healthcare journey through our own services and through our network partners,” added Chan.
