Bullfrog hands reins to ex-FIFA marketer Kim Anderson as CEO

Independent agency Bullfrog has appointed Kim Anderson as chief executive officer, with founder Dalton Henshaw stepping into an advisory role five years after launching the business at age 26.

Anderson, who oversaw global marketing for last year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup, brings more than two decades of experience across Australasia, the US and UK. At FIFA she led a record-breaking tournament that drew two billion viewers worldwide, nearly two million in stadiums and delivered an estimated $1.32 billion in economic impact for Australia.

Henshaw, whose leadership saw Bullfrog named one of the AFR’s Most Innovative Companies and SmartCompany’s Smart50 Fastest Growing SMEs, said the move was about timing.

“Succession planning is critical to enduring businesses, and handing the reins to Kim at this moment feels like the natural next step. She embodies our values and brings a global reputation for cultivating communities and delivering commercial results. It’s the right leadership at the right time.”

Anderson said her focus will be on scaling Bullfrog’s challenger-brand model. “Bullfrog’s progressive model puts data, creativity and community at the centre. Picking up from Dalton’s leadership, I’ll shape a business that’s brave, modern and values-led. This is a chance to define a new category of service model, a modern Australian growth company that’s independent, impactful and culturally in tune.”

The appointment completes a refreshed executive leadership team including Robbie Brammall (chief marketing & innovation officer), Georgia Newton (general manager), Tim Shelley (chief brand & experience officer) and Mike Ronkoske (chief strategy officer). Henshaw will remain involved with clients while preparing for the arrival of his first child later this year.
