Fancy a little bubbly in Hong Kong? You're in luck. Sparkling wine pop-up Bubble Wonderland has opened in the basement of Kingston Street in Causeway Bay, bringing 10,000 square feet of bottles from all over the world, including champagne from France, Prosecco from Italy, Sekt from Germany, Cap Classique from South Africa, and others from the US, the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
The pop-up will run from 19 March to 18 April, and will offer both stories and activities to captivate and educate sparkling wine aficionados and newbies alike. Sommelier and wine experts will be on hand to help customers select their perfect bottle, and mixologists will hold court at the pop-up's cocktail demonstration corner, offering tips on mixing up alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. If that's not enough, some exquisite food pairings will also be available, including caviar, Spanish Iberico ham and artisan cheese from France.
In addition to all this, the pop-up will also feature a series of special scheduled events. On Fridays, weekends and public holidays, Bubble Wonderland will host an RSRV masterclass to teach the public about how sparkling wines are produced, and the MCC Blind Challenge will give visitors the chance to taste and learn the differences in South African sparkling wines.
Guests who want the perfect post for Instagram can get their shot at the Perrier x Murakami entrance photo booth, and those ready to try their hand at opening their next bottle with a sword can get some coaching and practice at the on-site Sabrage Experience.
