Brocade appoints Chief Marketing Officer

Network solutions Brocade has appointed John McHugh as vice president and chief marketing officer (CMO). His role will cover the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa and Asia Pacific. In Asia Pacific, the specific markets he will handle are Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, India, Japan, Korea including Greater China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

McHugh will be responsible for the company's global marketing and strategic alliance strategies and report directly to CEO Michael Klayko.

"John's thought leadership and insight into the networking industry will help drive our market and mindshare in a space that represents significant future growth for the company. His proven track record for transforming businesses through periods of expansion and innovation make him a strategic member of my executive team who will bring Brocade's vision of the next-generation enterprise network to market," Brocade's CEO Michael Klayko said.

McHugh has almost three decades of experience in the networking industry. As part of his 26-year career at HP, McHugh held a variety of executive management positions including vice president and worldwide general manager of HP ProCurve Networking.

McHugh is based in San Jose, California, USA.
