Brand New Media (BNM) has hired Nick Fawbert as managing director of its Asia operations. Previously the head of digital enterprise for MediaCorp for six months, Fawbert was in charge of creating and growing digital revenue streams for the company’s entire range of platforms and products.
Fawbert will work alongside Damien Bray, Brand New Media’s global director of development. Fawbert will be responsible for overseeing the management of the BNM business model as the company expands across Asia.
Fawbert’s previous experiences include the Secretary and Executive Director of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) in Singapore. He looked after the digital interests of major local companies such as SPH and MediaCorp, alongside international brands such as Yahoo, Microsoft and Google. He has worked closely with the MDA and IDA.
“If the first decade of this century was the age of platforms – Facebook, Twitter and Google – then this decade will be the age of content,” said Fawbert. He added that going forward, the company has hopes of working with brands, broadcasters, publishers, and some of the greatest creative minds in the region to help drive the industry forward.
