Brand Learning appoints new MD

Brand Learning,  a company specialising in building business capabilities to drive customer-centred growth, has appointed board partner Harriet de Swiet(pictured) as its managing director. She will be responsible for global and regional clients and business development in the Asia Pacific region, based.She is tasked to continue the company’s business development plans in APAC, working with global and local clients and supporting Brand Learning global client directors based in London and New York to tailor or embed activity locally.de Swiet is currently based in London and has been a member of the team for nine years, most recently supporting Brand Learning’s global and local clients in the APAC region. She will be relocating to Singapore for her new role. The role was last held by Sandeep Khanna.de Swiet has over 15 years’ client-side marketing experience with brands including British Airways, Bupa and Unilever.Mhairi McEwan, group CEO and co-founder of Brand Learning said: “It’s an exciting and challenging time for businesses to drive sustainable growth – and for that it need to lift its sales, marketing, digital and leadership capabilities. de Swiet's appointment spells another major step forward in our ability to help them do that.”de Swiet said, “It's exciting to help clients in Singapore and more broadly across Asia Pacific to accelerate growth and build their capabilities in marketing and sales. Our team understands the important differences global and local clients experience when working in APAC, and the opportunities and challenges that presents.”She added that being based in Singapore will allow her to work even more closely with big brands in the region and understand exactly what they need to do to craft their business around their customers.
