Social mobile commerce solutions provider and multi-channel commerce platform Boutir has unveiled its partnership with Singapore-based tech startup Atome, launching Atome’s “Buy Now, Pay Later” payment option on its platform.

The payment option provides merchants with a secure, simple yet flexible option to pay in repayments. Launched in Hong Kong in late 2020, “Buy Now, Pay Later” enables clients of Boutir’s merchants to split bills into three payments before enjoying interest, management and annual fee free repayments and a near instant approval rate if they select Atome when checking out the bill. Merchants will receive the whole bill of payment within three working days after the deduction of the handling fee.

“Boutir has been committed to offering an up-to-date, diversified range and flexible payment means, as well as helping our merchants to be competitive in today’s dynamic business environment," said Parson Ho, co-founder of Boutir.

"We are excited to partner with Atome to launch this payment service to 110,000 merchants on our platform, enabling our merchants at various scales to provide interest free repayments service," he added.

Boutir also claimed that by integrating Atome’s flexible payment option, merchant partners can increase conversions by up to 17% on average and average basket size by more than 30%.

With the onboarding of Atome, Boutir merchants now access a total of eight payment services, such as Octopus, Faster Payment System (FPS), PayMe, PayPal, Alipay HK, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the spending and payment preferences of many consumers, who are now looking for a secure, simple and flexible way to pay. The partnership enables online and brick-and-mortar retailers to offer their customers one more frictionless payment option, in addition to extra benefits of significantly improved sales and spending, along with expanded customer base," said Eric Yu, general manager of Atome Hong Kong.
