Bosch has picked digital agency DCG Malaysia to handle its regional social media account for its latest power tool brand, Dremel. The appointment is for one year and will cover six markets including Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines.
In an exclusive statement to A+M, Roy Vimalan, director of DCG Malaysia, said that the account win represents the agency’s first deal clinched in Malaysia. Other clients that the whole DCG group has worked with include Ferrero, Kinder, Nestle, Adidas, Maserati to Pirelli.
“The brand is extremely engaging, where the richness of content is created by fans themselves. It’s the ultimate goal for us to make social media the place where a community of ‘makers’ are able to inspire one another.
Malaysia is an exciting market to be in. While behaviours on digital are so unpredictable, it’s our aim to provide personalised solutions through our talents in crafting ideas and building tools that will make a difference in the market,” Vimalan said.
The Milan-headquartered digital agency is a relatively new entrant in the local scene, setting up its office only in January this year. Apart from Milan and Kuala Lumpur, the agency has its offices based in Singapore, Bangkok, Tehran and Dubai.
