This Summer, Starbucks will be collaborating with mega South Korean pop girl group BLACKPINK with a bevy of offerings that embody the group’s dynamic energy and playful demeanour to evoke confidence in fans of Starbucks and BLACKPINK (BLINKs) at select Starbucks stores across Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.

As part of the 'Turn Up Your Summer' collaboration, from 25 July 2023, fans will get to enjoy a specially crafted Frappuccino drink called the BLACKPINK Strawberry Choco Cream Frappuccino® Blended Beverage that pays homage to the group’s latest album Born Pink.

The black and pink-hued beverage is a blend of strawberry syrup, dark chocolate sauce, oat milk, chocolate curls, topped with light pink whipped cream and a symbolic heart-shaped chocolate that contains the group’s initials ‘BP’.

“BLACKPINK is synonymous with an authenticity that is bold and confident, making them an inspiring force that transcends geographies and cultures,” said Emmy Kan, senior vice president and president, Starbucks Asia Pacific.

“Guided by our shared passion to deliver unparalleled experiences, this collaboration will bring new energy and excitement to our customers who are encouraged to embrace their individuality and express themselves in bold new ways this summer,” she continued.

Other offerings in the collection include a limited-edition collection of stylish drinkware such as reusable cups and tumblers with sparkling encrusted rhinestones that were designed to be eye-catching while also entice fans to bring their own reusables instead of using single-use drinkware at Starbucks outlets.

Additionally, the curated collection showcases an array of lifestyle accessories that feature a contrasting pink and black colour palette, funky graffiti motifs and prints that resemble doodles with merchandise such as includes reusable tote bags, yoga mats, passport holders, and key chains.

BLACKPINK is no stranger to food and beverage brand collaborations as the well-known cookie by Mondelēz International, Oreo teamed up with BLACKPINK for a ground-breaking OREO x BLACKPINK collaboration earlier this year.

Fans of the iconic Oreo sandwich cookie and fans of BLACKPINK (BLINKs) got to experience bespoke products and a slate of activities and engagements across platforms in Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam and South Korea.

The Asian-exclusive OREO x BLACKPINK collaboration was rolled out across key markets in successive waves and will feature two distinctively BLACKPINK-inspired variants. These products hit the shelves of major retailers and eCommerce channels early 2023, for a limited time. Given its combined fanbase, OREO x BLACKPINK is set to join the collaboration hall of fame.
