Big Tree is shining light on the animals unique to Malaysia with its latest OOH campaign titled "Ilustrasi Haiwan Malaysia", which features a series of vibrant images of animals unique to Malaysia. The images are displayed around the vicinity of Petronas Twin Towers and aim to liven up the city, as well as educate audiences about the 12 different animals. They include the Malayan Tiger, Pygmy Elephant, Malayan Tapir, Lesser Mouse-Deer, Proboscis Monkey and Malayan Peacock-Pheasant.
The campaign will run until 31 December and Big Tree was in charge of the creative ideation, research and production. QR codes will be embedded into the visuals of each animal to dish out facts on the specific animal's population, conservation status and habitat, among other descriptions. Through this initiative, Big Tree said it hopes to have citizens be proud of animals with Malaysian origins and also potentially spur their interest in helping out with animal and habitat conservation.
CEO Shukor Ariffin said the idea behind the campaign is to enlighten and educate audiences on the uniqueness of Malaysia’s animal kingdom in a creative and engaging way, while demonstrating the best use of OOH media through strong and colourful imagery.
"The space allows for engagement too, where the public could scan the QR codes to learn more about the animals. In light of the current situation, we hope to brighten someone’s day as they drive or walk by our media," he added.
