Ayala Malls is hosting Meta’s interactive digital safety showcase at Glorietta in Makati City, Philippines, as the mall operator looks to encourage conversations about online well-being among parents and teenagers.

Running from 26 to 30 October, the showcase, titled “Digital dialogue in real life: Safety starts with conversation” (DDIRL), aims to make discussions about digital safety more accessible through interactive activities, demonstrations and educational resources.

The programme opened on 26 October at Glorietta’s Palm Drive Activity Center with a multisectoral forum bringing together educators, youth advocates and government leaders to discuss the shared responsibility of protecting young people online.

The interactive exhibit is taking place on Level 1 of Glorietta from 27 to 30 October, between 11am and 7pm daily.

Activities include guided walkthroughs designed to help parents and teenagers discuss their everyday digital experiences, including social media feeds, online peer interactions and how to identify and respond to cyber threats.

The showcase also features demonstrations of Meta’s Teen Accounts, parental supervision tools and age-appropriate privacy settings, introducing families to safeguards available across its platforms.

Educational materials and support booths from the department of education, Stairway Foundation, the national youth commission and the psychological association of the Philippines are also available. The Stairway Foundation is featuring learning modules from its Kaagapay Programme.

Mae Dichupa, asset management portfolio head for Makati and BGC at Ayala Malls, said the initiative reflects the role that malls can play in supporting family relationships and well-being.

“At Ayala Malls, our spaces are intentionally designed as extensions of the Filipino home–a trusted ‘third space’ devoted to nurturing the people and relationships that walk through our doors,” she said.

“Looking after today’s families means safeguarding both their everyday comfort and their digital well-being. By opening Glorietta to this vital dialogue, we are providing a warm, neutral ground where parents and teens can step away from their personal screens, listen to each other and build better habits together,” she added.
