Aveeno taps Jakarta X Beauty to deepen skin health conversation

Aveeno is expanding its "Strength of sensitivity" campaign into skin health, using one of Indonesia's largest beauty exhibitions as the stage to introduce its latest skincare innovation.
At Jakarta X Beauty (JXB) 2026, the oat science-based skincare brand from Kenvue unveiled Aveeno Skin Relief Repairing Balm, extending its Skin Relief range as it looks to capitalise on growing consumer awareness around sensitive skin and skin barrier care ahead of World Skin Health Day on 8 July.
The launch signals the next phase of its "Strength of sensitivity" platform, which previously focused on emotional sensitivity. This time, the brand is turning its attention to physical sensitivity, positioning skin health as an integral part of overall wellbeing while reinforcing its science-led credentials in the sensitive skincare category.

"Through 'Strength of sensitivity', we believe that sensitivity is not something to be overlooked, but something to be understood and cared for. After starting the conversation around emotional sensitivity some time ago, we now want to continue it by highlighting physical sensitivity, specifically skin health," said Anggia Pramono, president director of Kenvue Indonesia.
"As a pioneer in oat science-based skincare for more than 80 years, Aveeno is committed to delivering both education and science-backed innovation to help people care for dry and sensitive skin with greater confidence."

The campaign arrives as conversations around sensitive skin and skin barrier health continue to gain momentum on social media, with consumers becoming increasingly attentive to ingredients and products designed to repair and protect compromised skin.
According to skincare educator dr. Giovanni Mustopo, this growing awareness represents a positive shift, although education remains essential.
"Sensitive skin requires more than just hydration; it also needs protection to maintain a healthy skin barrier. When the skin barrier is well maintained, the skin feels more comfortable and is less prone to dryness or irritation. That's why it's important to choose products with ingredients that help soothe the skin while supporting the health of the skin barrier, such as oat, which has long been recognised for its benefits in caring for sensitive skin," he said.
Designed to complement the existing Skin Relief portfolio, the new Repairing Balm is formulated with Aveeno's Triple Oat Complex - comprising oat flour, oat extract and oat oil - alongside glycerin and shea butter. The multipurpose balm is intended to provide intensive moisturisation while helping support the skin barrier on particularly dry areas such as lips, heels, elbows, knees and cuticles.
"At Aveeno, we understand that the needs of sensitive skin vary from person to person and even across different areas of the body. That's why we continue to develop innovations rooted in a deep understanding of consumers' needs and backed by robust science," said Zaskia P. Setiyasari, skin health lead at Kenvue Indonesia.
As part of the campaign, brand ambassador Maudy Ayunda also shared how skincare fits into her broader self-care routine.
"Amid our busy routines, we often only realise our skin needs attention when it starts to feel uncomfortable. For me, taking care of my skin is an important part of self-care. That's why I like products that are practical yet effective enough for everyday use. Aveeno Skin Relief Repairing Balm helps keep areas that need extra care moisturised and feels comfortable to use throughout my daily activities," she said.
Visitors to the booth can explore the full Aveeno Skin Relief range, participate in brand activities and access exclusive promotions during the exhibition.
