Fintech company Futu Singapore has appointed Havas Media Group Singapore's Arena Media Singapore to manage media duties for its moomoo app. The appointment is effective immediately and follows a pitch. The scope of work includes integrated media marketing, analytics and digital media management.

Futu Singapore (moomoo) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Nasdaq-listed and Tencent-backed Futu Holdings. It offers investment products for trading via the moomoo platform, as well as a suite of tools and resources to help any level of investor trade smarter and with ease. Erika Chiang, Futu Holdings' APAC marketing director, said Arena Media impressed the team with its technical expertise as well as its commitment to understanding the company's business goals.

"We look forward to working together to improve the company’s marketing activity and solidifying our position as Asia’s leading and award-winning one-stop investment platform,” Chiang said.

Meanwhile, Russell Lai, MD of Havas Media Group Singapore, said Futu Singapore (moomoo) has been revolutionising the investment landscape as an online brokerage with smart trading services. "We are delighted to be part of the growth of such a progressive brand to strengthen their presence in Singapore. We are looking forward to leveraging our data-driven insights to drive meaningful interactions for Futu Singapore (moomoo) and their consumers across all touchpoints to deliver a seamless results-focused experience," Lai said. Havas Media Group Singapore did not comment on the length of the appointment.

Last year the company partnered up with eCommerce platform Shopee to show its commitment to the market. During the 10.10 campaign collaboration, Shopee users had the opportunity to win Tesla, Facebook or Coca-Cola stocks and learn about investing via the moomoo platform where they could redeem free stocks. The shoppers had an opportunity to win these stocks with every dollar spent. Moreover existing Shopee and moomoo users also could recive 180 days of free commission and can use their in-app moomoo reward points to redeem Shopee vouchers.

Futu Singapore managing director Gavin Chia added, “Futu SG is growing rapidly – with over 220,000 users including 100,000 paying clients in Singapore – but there is still a large, untapped segment of customers that we can get on the moomoo app and help this wave of the next-generation investors achieve long-term, sustainable wealth. We want to continue finding local partners to work with in the Singapore market in these win-win partnerships that can help both parties achieve greater heights.”
