Aneka Tambang (ANTAM) has officially launched a special-edition Lunar New Year 2026 gold series, themed around the Horse zodiac, as it looks to capture growing demand for collectible precious metals while reinforcing gold’s role beyond a pure investment instrument.

Introduced at the start of the year, the Lunar New Year 2026 gold series positions gold as a medium carrying cultural meaning, reflection, and hope ahead of the new year. The Fire Horse theme was selected to reflect courage, momentum, and adaptability, values ANTAM says resonate with society as it looks ahead to new possibilities.

President director of ANTAM, Untung Budiharto, said the launch forms part of ANTAM’s strategy to deliver product innovations that are aligned with tradition and the needs of the community. “The launch of these thematic products is part of ANTAM’s commitment to presenting gold products with added value, not only as investment instruments, but also as symbols of culture and the hopes of the community in welcoming the Lunar New Year,” he said.

The Lunar New Year 2026 launch continues ANTAM’s track record of releasing themed gold products, a strategy it has maintained consistently since 2018. These limited-edition releases have delivered stable sales performance and have become an important contributor to the company’s overall gold sales, supported by rising consumer interest in collectible-value products.

The thematic gold bullion is available in two main variants, namely 88-gram and 8-gram gold bars, as well as a Gift Series in 1-gram and 0.5-gram denominations. All products are produced with a Fine Gold purity of 999.9 (99.99%) and are packaged in exclusive designs that represent the spirit of the Year of the Fire Horse.

The series is equipped with a range of security features, including 3D effects, micropatterns, microtext, QR codes, and unique serial numbers. It is available from 13 January 2026 and can be purchased at ANTAM Logam Mulia Gold Boutiques, via the official website, as well as through the official marketplaces.

“Each gold piece is produced with a high level of purity and undergoes a manufacturing process that prioritises precision and reliability, ensuring the product’s quality and purity are maintained until it reaches customers,” Budiharto added.

In a separate statement, the company said Lunar New Year symbolises renewal and renewed confidence, particularly in the Fire Horse year, which is widely associated with heightened energy, decisiveness, and forward momentum. The horse figure, it added, represents perseverance, conviction, and courage in pursuing long-term goals, qualities that are often reflected in the enduring appeal of gold during festive traditions.

ANTAM noted that Lunar New Year gold has historically held a special place as both a gift and a store of value, often kept or passed down as a symbol of good fortune and blessings. Through the 2026 Fire Horse edition, the company aims to reinforce gold’s dual role as a cultural symbol and a tangible asset amid global economic uncertainty.
