Allianz ramps up Singapore GP sponsorship efforts

Over the years, Allianz has built a strong relationship with Formula 1, developing from a pure team sponsor into a global road safety partner of Formula 1.

This year its sponsorship efforts will be centered around the theme of safety. During the upcoming Singapore GP, the Allianz logo can be seen on the official Formula 1 Safety Car, Medical Car and along the pit lane of the street circuit. It is also the official road safety partner to the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One team.

Leveraging their partnership, Allianz has produced three royalty-free videos in 2015 featuring Lewis Hamilton as the expert for road safety. The aim is to raise awareness about the devastating impact of traffic deaths on societies worldwide and to increase awareness through local and global initiatives, thus contributing to safer roads and reducing the global death toll.

Allianz is also active on social media with a campaign and daily updates on the Allianz Road Safety Facebook page counting over 450,000 fans globally. In 2011, Allianz partnered with the FIA Foundation as a Supporter of the UN Decade of Action for Road Safety 2011-2020.

George Sartorel, Regional CEO, Allianz Asia Pacific, said: “As one of the leading motor insurers worldwide, we are committed to road safety.
