Allianz names comms lead for Asia Pacific

Allianz Asia Pacific has hired May Kek as head of comms for the region.She will oversee communication strategies across the region, including internal communications, media relations, events and public affairs. Based in Allianz’s regional HQ in Singapore, she will support the firm’s growth strategy and operations across nine markets in this region.Allianz is one of the largest global financial services provider, serving 85 million customers in more than 70 countries. Within Asia, Allianz’s core businesses include life & health insurance, property and casualty insurance as well as asset management.In her role, Kek reports to CEO of Allianz Asia Pacific, George Sartorel.She has more than a decade’s experience in media and communications. Prior to joining Allianz, she was CNBC's head of assignments for Asia Pacific, managing the network's interviews in the region. She has also previously worked at Fulford Public Relations, as well as Thomson Reuters.“With a dynamic growth strategy and an innovative culture, Allianz is well-positioned to capture the opportunities in Asia.
