Allianz Malaysia appoints CEO

Allianz Malaysia Berhad (AMB) has appointed Zakri Mohd Khir as CEO. He will take over the role as CEO of AMB – the holding company for Life and P & C insurance business. Khir is also the first Malaysian appointed as the country manager and CEO of AMB to lead Allianz in Malaysia.He joined Allianz Malaysia in 2000 as the head of industrial business. Prior to his new appointment, he was the CEO of Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad, the general insurance subsidiary of AMB. Khir has over 26 years of experience in the insurance industry.In a press statement, the company said: "Allianz Malaysia is confident that with Zakri’s extensive insurance experience and proven track record for operational excellence and leadership, he will be able to lead Allianz Malaysia to greater heights."
