Allan Phang, CMO of Dubai-based esports and gaming company Galaxy Racer, has left company after a year. He is also leaving his position as marketing consultant at Riva Technology and Entertainment, Galaxy Racer's parent company. Phang told A+M that he is currently exploring opportunities as he charts his next career trajectory. He joined last July to lead the development of strategic marketing plans to establish its brand presence globally.

While working with Galaxy Racer, Phang and his colleagues successfully executed several global marketing campaigns. Some of his notable achievements include surpassing two Guinness World Records titles for the “Longest live-stream (video)”, recording live for 268 hours 14 mins 20 seconds and “Most viewers for a charity donation live stream on YouTube".

Prior to joining Galaxy Racer, Phang worked as the regional head of marketing and public relations at EVOS Esports, a professional esports organisation based in Jakarta, which raised US$16.4 million in Series A and B funding.

He worked on several initiatives while at EVOS Esports, including the introduction of co-branded clothing with PUMA, helping Visa with its debut into the Southeast Asian esports market, signing a one-year contract with Lazada Indonesia, and cross-collaboration with the musicians of Universal Music Malaysia.

He was also previously with AirAsia Esports and was with the company for almost seven years, helming positions in regional marketing, business development and group alliances, employee engagement, and internal branding. MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has reached out to Phang for additional information.
