Internet software firm Akamai Technologies has appointed Frederic Moraillon (pictured) as vice president of marketing for Asia Pacific and Japan.
Moraillon is tasked with marketing duties for the region including branding and lead generation as well as working closely with sales and business development.
He will be based in Singapore and report directly to Akamai's head of Asia Pacific and Japan operations Sanjay Singh.
In the past, Moraillon has had stints at Business Objects, SAS Institute, PeopleSoft, Peppers and Rogers among others and previously also opened his own public relations firm, Blah Blah PR, which he will no longer be actively running.
The agency will continue to serve some existing clients, he said.
