AirAsia has launched a National Day and Malaysia Day tribute video narrated by the Prime Minister of Malaysia Dr Mahathir Mohamad and novelist and poet, Sri A Samad Said. It is part of its 360-degree thematic campaign, “Your Journey, Our Passion” to celebrate Malaysian unity.Titled “Hidup Bersama”, the video depicts the everyday lives of Malaysians from all walks of life striving together for a better future. The two-minute clip concluded with a punch line “devoted to serve the people of Malaysia”. It has gotten over 690,000 views in three days.According to a press release, the campaign is rooted in AirAsia’s culture of putting people first and will leverage on broadcast, digital, print and out-of-home platforms.AirAsia Malaysia CEO Riad Asmat said the campaign aims to showcase Malaysians’ diversity and act as a reminder that their strength is because of, and not in spite of, their differences. “In that sense, AirAsia is like a microcosm of Malaysia, a place where Allstars of all races, religions and backgrounds have a hand in making us what we are today,” he added. In celebration of the occasion, AirAsia is also offering flight and hotel discounts for bookings on its website and mobile app.Read more:High Court rules in favour of Malaysia Airports, AirAsia to complyMaybank and AirAsia among brands loved by Malaysian womenAirAsia restructures leadership team to support transformationAirAsia to collect increased PSC demanded by MAHB ‘under protest’
