Passengers of AirAsia in Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia can now book and manage their flights directly with their LINE app.
The campaign will allow passengers in the three countries who link their AirAsia BIG member accounts to their LINE accounts to access end-to-end booking and "Manage My Booking" functions identical to those on airasia.com and the AirAsia mobile app. The budget airline said its AirAsia BIG members who link their accounts will also receive exclusive deals as well as 100 AirAsia BIG Points, subject to availability and on a first-come-first-served basis.
Malaysian and Indonesian AirAsia BIG members will have access to the same payment options as the website and mobile app, while Thai members will make use of LINE Pay.
AirAsia group chief commercial officer Siegtraund Teh said the airline is constantly on the lookout for new ways to improve its booking experience, especially on social media.
"Through this partnership with LINE, we hope to create a more seamless flow from offer to booking while giving our guests additional payment options," he added.
"We are excited to offer a greater user experience to LINE users in Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia through our collaboration with leading airlines like AirAsia on LINE Business Connect. In order to meet all needs that our users encounter in a continually changing mobile environment, we will continue to widen the benefits of our Smart Portal beyond standard messaging," a LINE spokesperson said.
