Ahead of Black Friday, Bata Malaysia launches its own tradition of Red Thursday

In line with Black Friday, Bata Malaysia has launched its very own year-end sales event called Red Thursday.  Taking a cue from the iconic red Bata logo, Red Thursday starts just a day before Black Friday.

According to Bata’s head of global marketing Jana Barbati Chadova, Red Thursday is Bata’s own new tradition, recurring on a yearly basis. She added that the brand wanted to "engage further with customers". Bata Malaysia added that it is expecting a 30% increase in turnover for the same four days versus last year,” as the mechanics of the promotion is really attractive and never done before by Bata Malaysia”.

For the event, Bata Malaysia will employ its two strongest channels – teasers using digital on social media, coupled with communication to Bata Club members with a base of two million. Additionally, all Bata stores will be dressed with the Red Thursday promotion. It added that according to a  recent consumer survey conducted,  38% of the Bata audience sees our marketing message from in-store collaterals, making its stores its strongest communication channel.

“Red Thursday is not only about sales. We want to establish a new traditional event and let our customers know that in Bata, you can get great deals throughout the year. But on Red Thursday, we’ll be giving you something on top of all that – such as bundle deals, or special events in our selected stores,” Chadova said.
