Agoda hires Geometry Global PR lead to handle internal comms for North Asia

Agoda has appointed Soomee Moon (pictured) as internal communications and engagement specialist for Greater China, Japan and South Korea.

According to Moon’s LinkedIn account, she starts in August and is responsible for influencing employee engagement, performance results and retention through the best possible use of internal communication aligned with the customer experience group and Agoda global communications strategies.

Prior to her latest role, she was regional corporate communications director at VMLY&R Commerce. Based in Shanghai, she was responsible for internal and external communications by collaborating with 10 countries in APAC and the headquarters in New York.

She also held senior positions in agencies. Moon was previously regional corporate communications director at Geometry Global. During her tenure, she witnessed VMLY&R Commerce to become WPP’s new end-to-end creative commerce company. Moreover, between 2011 and 2015, she was global PR manager at Cheil Worldwide, responsible for establishing communications teams across 40 countries by hiring and training PR professionals, as well as developing and implementing communications strategies.
