AdPeople expands Asia footprint

Danish full-service agency AdPeople Worldwide is set to grow across Asia Pacific, shifting focus to markets such as Japan and Indonesia.Until now, Singapore and China had been its key markets in the region.The agency opened its Tokyo office in January this year with clients such as Unilever and Lux.Tomohiko Ohmura, senior group account director leads the team in Japan. Joining from Wunderman International, Ohmura has more than 18 years of marketing experience in Japan, including MRM, Ogilvy Mather and Tokyu Agency.President and COO Emre Gürsoy (pictured) said the agency is looking to make more hires across the region.It appointed Ian Chau as general manager and Renato Quaroni as creative director for its Singapore ops, last year. The Singapore team works with Unilever on brands such as Pond's. Most recently, AdPeople Worldwide designed and launched Pond's global website.Globally, the agency provides digital, social as well as data capabilities to clients and boasts clients such as Dell, Jabra, Unilever and Saxo Bank.AdPeople Worldwide is part of WPP and aligned under Wunderman. It operates as a stand-alone network with global reach and offices in Denmark, the United States, Bangladesh, India, Singapore, China and Japan.
