adidas and the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team are bringing a distinctly Singaporean spin to the Formula 1 paddock with a new collection inspired by the country's national flower.

Dubbed the "Vanda bloom collection", the capsule takes cues from the Vanda Miss Joaquim orchid, translating its pink and purple hues and floral motifs across apparel, footwear and accessories ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix.

The collection's driver jersey features a blooming orchid graphic against a purple base, alongside white detailing and the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team's signature teal accents. The colour treatment and floral elements extend across pieces including driver caps, shorts, T-shirts and fanwear.

Beyond giving the team's race-week look a local makeover, adidas said the collection has been designed with Singapore's hot and humid conditions in mind.

Selected pieces incorporate the sportswear brand's CLIMACOOL and CLIMAPROOF technologies, including the driver's jersey and rain jacket, with a focus on breathability and protection from wet weather.

The Singapore climate has also shaped the collection's footwear. Its CLIMACOOL laced shoes use adidas' 3D-printing technology to improve breathability and comfort in tropical conditions, while the range also includes the EVO SL and Handball Spezial.

The capsule is the latest locally inspired expression of adidas' partnership with the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team, combining the team's motorsport identity with visual references to Singapore as Formula 1 prepares to return to the city for its annual night race.

The adidas x Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team "Vanda bloom collection" launches globally on 27 August across adidas' and the F1 team's online channels, as well as selected adidas retail locations.

“The Singapore Grand Prix presents one of the most challenging environments in global sport, making it the perfect stage to highlight the performance benefits of CLIMACOOL and CLIMAPROOF technology," said Michael Batz, motorsport category GM at adidas.

He added, "At the same time, we wanted to create a collection that felt deeply connected to Singapore itself. The 'Vanda Bloom collection' celebrates a symbol that is uniquely Singaporean, combining local storytelling with lightweight performance apparel designed for athletes and fans alike.”

In tandem, Richard Sanders, chief commercial officer at Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team, said, “Our race-specific collections are an opportunity to connect more deeply with the communities that welcome Formula One each season."

"The 'Vanda bloom collection' pays tribute to Singapore through one of its most iconic national symbols while reflecting the innovation and engineering excellence that both Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team and Singapore are known for. We’re excited to see the team and our fans bring this story to life throughout race weekend," he added.

The collection also lands as adidas ramps up its Formula 1 presence in Singapore ahead of the race, with the brand taking its motorsport push beyond apparel and onto Orchard Road. Earlier this month, adidas unveiled "Orchard Ignition", a two-day activation set for 29 and 30 August, bringing together the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula 1 Team and K-pop girl group BABYMONSTER as part of Grand Prix Season Singapore 2026.

At the centre of the activation, Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team reserve driver Fred Vesti is set to drive an F1 car along a roughly 600-metre stretch of Orchard Road between Paragon and TANGS at Tang Plaza on 30 August, marking what adidas says will be Singapore's first live race car demonstration in more than a decade.
