FWD Life Philippines (FWD Insurance), part of pan-Asian FWD Group and AC Infrastructure Holdings Corp., a fully-owned subsidiary of Ayala Corporation, has announced its Expressway Sponsorship Program which unveils the newly renamed FWD-Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway (MCX) last December 7, 2019.PHAR Partnerships was appointed by AC Infra earlier this year to conceptualize the commercial and marketing framework for the partnership opportunity.“While we have been heavily involved with operators of airports, mass transit and airlines in the region, this is our first expressway project. Bringing two blue chip companies like FWD and AC Infra together in a first of its kind sponsorship program has been a wonderful experience, and a testimony to innovative marketing in the transit eco-system.” says Prem Bhatia, managing director of PHAR.Peter Grimes, president and CEO of FWD Insurance says, “This is an exciting new venture for FWD and we’re proud to pioneer a program that has never been done by a Philippine insurer. We’re very grateful to PHAR Philippines and MCX to have opportunity presented to us initially. It’s been an enjoyable journey over the last nine months working with all the teams to collaborate on this partnership opportunity and we’re greatly enthused about the possibilities of this partnership growing over the coming years.”“We are very excited about this partnership with FWD. This posts a lot of opportunity for us to move forward with our goal of improving Filipinos’ lives. FWD-MCX can now work hand in hand in growing not just our businesses but also the neighboring communities of our expressway”, says Noel Kintanar, COO of AC Infra and president of MCX Tollway Inc.The FWD-MCX serves as a crucial artery between Muntinlupa and Cavite – connecting the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) to Daang Hari, Cavite and regularly serving thousands of motorists and commuters. With this newly signed agreement, the first of its kind for a Philippine insurer, FWD Insurance seeks to elevate the expressway as a symbol of the nation’s “road to progress.”Used by more than one million cars a month, the FWD-MCX has shortened what was once a 20-minute drive from Daang Hari road to SLEX to only a three-minute journey.
