The Audit Bureau of Circulations Malaysia (ABC) has appointed Dentsu’s Fan Chen Yip and Maxis’ Foong Ai Peng as chairman and vice chairman at its 40th Annual General Meeting.
As the trading director of Dentsu Aegis Network Malaysia, Fan has over 20 years of experience in the media agency business and moves up from his post as the vice chairman. Foong is the head of media and budget management in Maxis and has served more than 14 years in the telecommunications industry.
“Both represent core sectors of the marketing communications industry and bring experience and expertise in their respective fields to ABC. Their commitment towards independently audited and verified circulation figures as key ingredients for sound marketing communications planning and decision making will move ABC further along the course that we have charted in the past two years,” outgoing chairman, Karthi Palanisamy, said.
