7-Eleven banks on Malaysia's love for football in new campaign

7-Eleven & Cardiff City Football Club have launched a new campaign called Cardiff City FC Blueberry Visit Malaysia. The contest was initiated as a challenge for the public to enjoy the Slurpee in a new flavour and showcase their creativity.The promotional posters were uploaded on 7-Eleven’s Facebook and Instagram page to inform social media users about the new campaign. Prints of these posters can also be found at 7-Eleven branches around Malaysia.Using the following social media platforms, Facebook and Instagram, contestants were encouraged to take a photo of a cup of Cardiff City FC Blueberry against the background of a Malaysian sight. After the photo is taken, they were to post it on social media with the hashtags #CardiffCityFCBlueberry #Slurpee #7ElevenMY. The winner of the contest will be sent to watch a live match of Cardiff City playing against Manchester United. The campaign is running until 19 November 2018. Ronan Lee, general marketing manager of 7-Eleven Malaysia, said, “It has always been a pleasant experience to witness first-hand the creativeness of Malaysians, especially in photography contests and we look forward to plenty of captivating entries that capture the uniqueness of Malaysia. We initiated the contest as a challenge for the public to enjoy their favourite frozen beverage, Slurpee in an all new flavour whilst being able to showcase their creativity”. Orion Digital handled the digital campaign activation for 7-Eleven. Shanker Joyrama from Orion Digital adds that “7-Eleven’s new contest is something all football-loving Malaysians can look forward to. With a prize that attractive, we wish we could score (pun intended) one for ourselves too!”
