Samsung mobile challenge kicks off

Samsung Electronics, in partnership with World Cyber Games (WCG), has kicked off the 4th annual WCG 2011 Samsung Mobile Challenge in Asia.

Participants are required to own the official challenge phone, Samsung Galaxy S II, and download the official mobile game, Asphalt 6, via Samsung Apps (Samsung application store) or Game Hub. The racing game features 40 over cars and bikes to tune, customize and drive against tough opponents in 11 different leagues with 55 events plus online/local multiplayer for up to six players.

The top 2 players from each country will be invited to the WCG 2011 Pan Asian Championship in Busan, South Korea from 8-11 December and be in the running to a win a total of US$65,000.

The Asian online preliminary round will run from 5-25 September.

There are 27 participating countries this year, including Australia, Austria, Brazil, Cameroon, Chile, Mainland China, Costa Rica, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, South Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Namibia, Pakistan, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan, UK, and Ukraine.
